The African Diaspora is vast, full of life, and full of culture. Highlighting the beauty of Afri fashion, design, and those lovely textures we eye for I am all about it. I love my African culture and with it comes a diverse pool of African fashion. I’ll be sharing mainstream African fashion and of course my personal looks.
African Fashion
The continent has 54 states with so much diversity of textiles, patterns, textures, and colors. There is so much to highlight. But, I will focus primarily on West Africa. Let’s explore the fashion designers of West Africa.

Ellie Kai: This brand is based in Ghana and it focuses on African print fabrics and modern silhouettes. their goal is to Africanize the Western fashion industry by infusing African prints into modern clothing items such as dresses, skirts, and blouses.
This Lagos-based brand uses a combination of African prints and western silhouettes to create stylish and unique clothing. Tsemaye Biney has been featured in numerous publications such as Elle magazine and Vogue Italia.


Duro Olowu is a Nigerian-born designer who now resides in London. His brand features a mix of African prints, vintage fabrics, and modern tailoring. Olowu has become a favorite among celebrities such as Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.
